It’s been a while since I’ve written in this thing. In regards to the last entry, the meeting of the parental units went well. Now the next time the parents will have to meet is at the wedding rehearsal. Speaking of weddings, I just finished my October wedding tour, hitting three weddings three weeks in a row. You’ve seen the first one already.
Wedding number two was at Rancho Las Lomas in Silverado, CA. Who knew such a place existed?
Here are the happily, newly wed couple! They look so happy.
But that’s not the coolest part. They had a white tiger. A fucking white tiger!
How do you top a white tiger? Well maybe a liger, but the last wedding of this wedding season did not have that. What it did have was sorority girls on a boat. It almost had T-Pain come along too, but the trip I won was only for two. Even without T-Pain the wedding was pretty awesome, because I think this wedding was the first time that Michelle and her sorority sisters came together in a long time.
The weather was a little gloomy, but things perked up. No, this isn’t an Asian sorority. UC Irvine has an over representation of Asians in general.
I’ve had my fill of weddings. Eloping in Vegas is looking real good right now.
Have you ever been to a wedding that could possibly be confused with a Hollywood premier? I can now say that I have, thanks to Spencer and Vivian. While this wedding was a red carpet event, they made sure it had its own special touches to make it their own.
Spencer gave all the groomsmen a special pair of kicks to wear during the reception.
He also gave us a special pair of cuff links to wear with our tuxes.
The wedding and reception were held at The Cicada in Downtown Los Angeles.
Michelle on the red carpet with custom background. If you want to sound very Hollywood, you call the background a “step and repeat.” The rest of us just stared blankly every time Spencer called it this.
No one got in without a look up and down to make sure high standards were met.
The groom, minutes before the ceremony.
It was a very nice ceremony, but I thought I was going to pass out from standing there. Man, tuxedos are hot.
The first dance. Spencer is light on his toes. It must be the shoes.
We all had a great time eating and drinking. Some of us had a little too much fun with the drinking.
Like I said, they had a very nice wedding but made sure their own touches were in there. Spencer surprised Vivian with a song.
We were fortunate enough to get to have brunch with the bride and the groom the next day. Notice the groom is fidgeting with his ring.
I didn’t take very many pictures as I was busy and drunk most of the night. You can see the rest of what I have here.
This is one of my favorite pictures from my brother’s wedding. We’re quite cramped in the picture. I remember having the bridesmaid next to me having to lean on me and complain that she could feel my breathing. Still it’s better than the two groomsmen on the left that have to put their junk (junks?) together. If you want to see the rest of the pictures, drop me a message. I prefer not to post them for a bunch of strangers to see. If you’re interested, the photographer is Augie Chang. He has a pretty good eye for posing people as well as taking candid shots.
Hello, there. My name is Matt, but on this website I just refer to myself as m@. I love all things Star Wars, food, beer, and music, especially The Beatles. I'm one who likes to be noticed and will sometimes say or do inappropriate things to get your attention. I'm perfectly complimented by my online and real life partner Michelle.
