Cut it out, California!

Not cool.

Anything to do in the middle of California?

Remember a couple years ago when I wrote this post about work? It resulted in this awesome work. It looks like I couldn’t get someone else to fill in for me for the work. I get to go back tomorrow night, probably for three days instead of two this time. It’s been just over two years since my last energy survey up there. Think there is more to do there now? If not, I know there’s at least Internet. Thank god for Internet, sweet giver of life.

California: Yesterday and Today

Do you know what happened back in 1850, 159 years ago?

California became a state.
The State had no electricity.
The State had no money.
Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
There were gunfights in the streets.

So basically, it was just like California today; except the women had real breasts and the men didn’t hold hands.

Crushed Hopes and Dreams

It’s time for me to travel for work once again. Where am I going this time? I’ll give you a hint. The biggest city in Miami County. Is it Florida? Nope. I’m going to Peru. That’s right. Peru, Indiana. I’ve talked in the past about my trips to the middle of nowhere for work. This trip is just about the same. When I booked my hotel for the trip, I noticed the name of the hotel the name of the hotel is Circus City Inn. That’s because Peru is home to the International Circus Hall of Fame! I can’t wait to hang out with the Bearded Lady.

I admittedly don’t know any states east of Las Vegas. I’d be willing to bet that there are more than a couple of you Californians that are in the same boat as me. Michelle definitely is right on board with me. She was trying to remember where I was going on my trip. “I know it’s somewhere like Kansas. Maybe Kentucky. South Carolina?”
