Matt, sorry to hear about your ordeal. This reminds me that when I ordered wedding gifts for my friend last fall from her Macy’s registry, part of some dishware set she wanted was on back order. For like 352 days. Seriously. A year. I actually don’t know if that shit ever shipped to her! I should probably check. :(

Ironically, my mom LOVES Macy’s and goes there once a week. She’s the queen of using her Macy’s card and coupons to get ridiculous discounts (e.g., “I bought this cardigan that was originally $100 for $7.50!!”). Actually, that makes me feel happy, like at least my mom is taking advantage of Macy’s the way Macy’s seems to be taking advantage of everyone else.

Ouch! We had a hellish experience trying to buy a couch from Macy’s, one that ended in quite a bit of yelling and more than one nasty e-mail. I so feel your pain and I wish you luck with your table! Godspeed haha!

Omg Matt! I hate Macy’s too. I ordered 2 watches from them and when the shipment came only 1 of the watches came even though the order form said they should both be in there. I called the customer service and they said no problem we will re ship the watch to you in 2 days so you will get if before Xmas. I waited a week, no watch. I called again and they said oops they are shipping from a store and I should get it in 7-10 days. Okay fine, Hiro won’t get his Xmas gift on time. 10 days plus passes by and still no watch. I called and no they say, sorry
the watch is longer available. So they said oh we’ll just refund you when we do an “investigation” what the hell is an investigation? They better not make me pay for something I never received! Nightmare

This is horrible. I can’t believe they gave away your bench. I can’t say I’d buy from Macy’s after reading this.

That’s redonkulous. How is that even possible? My mother just purchased a huge table from a catalog company that had to be shipped from Italy and she received it in 4 weeks just in time for Thanksgiving… just proves that big department stores don’t even care about customer service, they just want your dollars and then want to kick you out on the curb.
